Props, Costumes, Makeup, Go!

We will need a few different sets of props per scene. For the first scene, in order to decorate the space, we will need Elena’s fake skull, black candles, candle holders, old books, a chess set, a small bust, and other antique-like objects. This style of props will work best for a house of vampires that have been collecting antiques for hundreds of years. For the second scene we will need a fake knife, fake blood, a rose, and a ring. It is important that the ring is gold and the knife is silver because silver burns vampires. For the third scene we will use an old chalice and Sophies yacht. This old chalice will be used to hold vampire killers’ blood” as Mara and Aurelia waltz on the yachts deck.

For Aurelias costume, Sophie will wear a black skirt, cream button down, and a long, black vest. The vest is flowy and creates a Victorian style silhouette which is very on brand for a vampire. She will also put part of her hair in a braid and wear light-colored makeup. Aurelia is a more feminine vampire, and her outfit/appearance is meant to reflect that. For Maras costume, Elena will wear black dress pants, a dark red button up, and a black vest. The shirt and pants are baggy which is meant to not draw attention to the feminine figure and create a more masculine silhouette. Mara is the more masculine vampire, and her outfit is meant to oppose Aurelias. Yaga will wear brown and green shirt and pants as those are stereotypically uglier colors associated with creatures. She will also wear a black cloak and witch figures to further hide any human features. Vampire hunter will wear black pants, a green shirt, and a baggy leather jacket. This outfit is meant to show an intimidating, masculine antagonist.

Aurelias makeup will be comprised of a baby pink eyeshadow and clear lip gloss. She will also put part of her hair in a braid to show her more feminine side. Mara will wear red lipstick and have black with red eye shadow and be more noticeable than Aurelia’s. She will also tie part of her hair up to give off a structured and strong vibe. Yaga will wear no makeup and leave her hair messy as she is a creature and is meant to look unkept. Vampire hunter will also wear no makeup and leave hair down as guys don’t care what they look like, especially when they’re too busy killing vampires.
