     For every group the first day of filming is almost always the most stressful, we made it work however we had a couple of challenges on the first day. Elena and Mary agreed to meet at 6:30 pm on March 11 th . Mary coronated Emma who played Yaga. Since Emma was working that day until 5:30 Mary went to pick her up. Once back at the house Mary changed into her costume then put on her makeup before helping Emma pick out the best clothes for playing Yaga. Emma had brought over a couple of options for her costume, that we couldn’t decide on over the phone. By the time Emma’s costume had been decided and she had changed, Elena had arrived. After Elena had arrived, Mary had gotten out the props they would need that were scattered around her room whilst Elena took the props out of their bag. Once all props were established , we took them in to the living room and started to arrange the props on the coffee table. Elena had gotten to the house just in time because the sun was just star

     We will need a few different sets of props per scene. For the first scene, in order to decorate the space, we will need Elena’s fake skull, black candles, candle holders, old books, a chess set , a small bust, and other antique-like objects. This style of props will work best for a house of vampires that have been collecting antiques for hundreds of years. For the second scene we will need a fake knife, fake blood, a rose,  and a ring. It is important that the ring is gold and the knife is silver because silver burns vampires. For the third scene we will use an old chalice and Sophies ya cht. This old chalice will be used to hold “ vampire killers’ blood” as Mara and Aurelia waltz on the yachts deck.        For Aurelias costume, Sophie will wear a black skirt, cream button down, and a long, black vest. The vest is flowy and creates a Victorian style silhouette which is very on brand for a vampire. She will also put part of her hair in a brai d and wear light-colored makeup.

     We chose Mary ’s house to film because of the surrounding location. For scene 2 it would be better to film it on the street that the house is on because it is eerily wide with no markings and we want that   unsettling feeling to the scene. It would also make sense for a murder to happen on an abandoned looking road th an a nice one with traffic. The road next to Elena’s house isn’t as wide , is very brightly lit, and has a lot of car traffic. Mary ’s backyard is also on a canal, therefore has a clear view of the horizon, whereas Elena’s apartment complex does not. We need this horizon view for the last scene’s pan down. It then makes sense to do the inside filming in the house to keep it all in one spot.        Since the opening scene takes place at sun down, we will have to make sure that the lighting is dark. One way we will do this is by doing all of the filming after 6:00 p.m. to ensure that the sky, if not completely dark by then, will be dark enough to look like it
