Plan the Radio Star

  

Props & Lighting: Since our idea is to recreate a sound booth, we are going to use microphones, a record player, possibly a computer of some sort. For lighting we are going to have set tones of light that follow each character (Video & Radio Star). We may bring back the sliver tablecloth this time being used as a backdrop. We will also be using old pictures and fake blood We…Well Elena has a very cool idea involving a mirror. 


Costumes: Since we are having two different distinct characters they are both going to be dressed in differing outfits. Video is going to have a much more modern way of dressing well… more modern to when the song came out. Such as wearing denim, leather, and t-shirts. The colors are going to be darker to convey the hidden meaning video has. As for Radio Star the idea is to have them dress in a more old-fashioned way that wouldn’t be popular even though their music maybe. We also plan to have other characters to mimic the vocals in the song we plan to have them wear bright colors. The picture that is attached is an inspiration for Radio Star’s costume.  


Schedule:  

On 11/11/22 our group researched the conventions and what is taking place in the original music video.  

 
On 11/18/2022, our group will be going over what exactly everyone is going to wear. We will also be discussing who we are going to have us help film and be in the video as who. 

 
On 11/19/2022 is going to be our first day of filming or we get together at a filming location to plan out where exactly we're going to shoot everything.  

 
11/20/2022 through 11/23/2022 we will be filming the bulk of what we need to get filmed. 

 
On 12/1/2022 we are going to be reviewing all the footage we have. If we need to reshoot anything we will do that on 12/3/2022 or 12/10/2022. 

 
Up until 12/17/2022 we will be editing the scenes together then making sure the sound editing is properly done.  

 
Location list:  

We will be filming at my house more specifically my room and in my backyard. We will be also filming at Elena’s house for the use of their room.  

Any Backup plans have already been addressed in our schedules. However in the event we cannot film at one house we will just film the others.

     I believe that the most important concept to a film's success is its film score. Without music to properly capture the suspense, excitement, and mood of the story, audiences would never resonate with the emotions of the film. For our film, we wanted the last 30 seconds to include a powerful music score. The music would take place after the two detectives wrestle on the ground and highlight the mystery of who shot who. As the camera pans up at the tress, I wanted a song that captures the peacefulness of the treetops while still being a little mysterious. AND ACTION!

     Day 2 of filming occurred on Wednesday, February 28. Zane, Jason, Zeyn, and I all met up at Zane's house to finish filming. First, we had to finish the car scenes before we moved to the scenes in the park. I stood outside while they drove past me to get the establishing/wide shot. Then I went inside the car to film the dialogue scenes between the two detectives. At one point, Zane had to hold the camera himself to film Jason because we needed a medium shot of just Jason, and I can't position myself to film that from the backseat. Once I was done with the car scenes we parked the car in the park.       I once again got out of the car and started filming from the ground while Zane parked the car for the shot and ran out.
