Props: 

Since we are doing an air pod commercial, we will need a pair of air pods. For the futuristic character we will need a silver wig, cool glasses, glow sticks, and other black/silver accessories. We will need a black or silver tablecloth as a backdrop. We will also use a tripod with a stabilizer for some shots. 

Costumes: 

The first character will wear everyday clothes with muted colors in the hallway to convey her not fully feeling the music. Then in the room the character will wear black/silver clothes with glow sticks (like the second character) to convey them fully immersed in the music. The second character will be dressed in all black with a silver wig, futuristic glasses, and glowing accessories to represent the futuristic design to air pods. The character will also be dancing so the costume should be able to move around freely.  


Location: 

One of our houses. We will film half of the time in the hallway when the actor listening to music initially uses the air pods and the future character dances. We will film in the room the other half of the time when the two characters jam out to the music.  


Schedule:  

  • On 9/30 our group researched common Air pod commercials, to understand what we should emulate whilst filming our commercial. We also picked a song that will be played through the air pods.  

  • On 10/2 our group established props, costumes, location, and schedule, and backup plan.  

  • On 10/3 we will create our storyboard for our 30 second commercial.  

  • On 10/5 our group will film all shots necessary for our commercial.  

  • 10/6-10/12 our group will be adding final touches and editing our commercial.  


Editing:  

We will be editing using Cap Cut because we have used this in the past. We also both think it will be the most effective for bring out vision to life.  


Backup: 

If we are not able to finish filming on 10/5, we will finish filming on 10/8. Since we are filming indoors, we will not need a backup location.

     We will need a few different sets of props per scene. For the first scene, in order to decorate the space, we will need Elena’s fake skull, black candles, candle holders, old books, a chess set , a small bust, and other antique-like objects. This style of props will work best for a house of vampires that have been collecting antiques for hundreds of years. For the second scene we will need a fake knife, fake blood, a rose,  and a ring. It is important that the ring is gold and the knife is silver because silver burns vampires. For the third scene we will use an old chalice and Sophies ya cht. This old chalice will be used to hold “ vampire killers’ blood” as Mara and Aurelia waltz on the yachts deck.        For Aurelias costume, Sophie will wear a black skirt, cream button down, and a long, black vest.      When we sent our short film to Ariel, she thought the concept of vampires in love is not a new one, but that we added a unique twist to the idea that kept me engaged for the two minutes . Ariel’s opinion not only meant a lot to Elena and Mary because s he was critiquing and giving feedback on our film. But because she is our friend. We wanted her too genuinely like it. A fter watching the film, she had a list of pros and cons. Things she thought we did well and some things we could improve upon. The pros were that she thought we had good angles, nice lighting, our costumes and the drama. The con was the audio. She said that the angles we chose to use for each of our shots fit.
