                                                                            Scene 1 

(we open in a candle lit living room. AURELIA is lighting a candlestick and YAGA is fixing the room) 

AURELIA 

What a splendid day. Better than most.  

YAGA 

*Creature sound that AURELIA seems to understand*  

AURELIA 

That is exactly why it is better than most. Two Hundred Eighty-Six Years. Oh isn’t it exciting! 

YAGA 

*Nods in agreement* 

AURELIA 

Although... I haven’t seen Mara all day. And usually, she wishes me good evening. Unless... No. Mara could not have. 

(AURELIA doubts her lovers commitment) 

AURELIA 

But what if she has. There was that period in the twenties where she...    

YAGA 

*Watching AURELIA. Makes creature sound, * 

AURELIA 

She forgot. She had to have forgotten. Oh, I cannot live like this. 

AURELIA 

*Tries not to cry. Ends up leaving the house. * 

 

Scene 2 

(AURELIA rushes down the street, tears starting to form, and flower in hand. You can see the surrounding street, cars, and buildings. It is sundown) 

AURELIA  

(sniffling) Why did she forget? How could she? 

VAMPIRE HUNTER  

(wolf whistles) A pretty lady like you shouldn’t be out at this time of night. Not alone. 

AURELIA 

Better alone then with you (under breath) filthy human 

VAMPIRE HUNTER 

Yeah, you’re right. I’m not into old witches like you. 

(AURELIA turns toward him in anger. We see the wave of realization hit her face as VAMPIRE HUNTER talks) 

VAMPIRE HUNTER 

Almost inhumanly old I would say 

AURELIA 

How did-? 

VAMPIRE HUNTER 

(Smiling confidently) I know. Genetics. What are the chances that I look exactly like my great-great-great-grandfather, y’know, the one that you killed. My family has been hunting your kind and following you for centuries. Wherever you were, we were right there. Kill one of us and three will follow you til death. Always. 

AURELIA 

And it only took you 200 years to finally face me. Coward. How did it feel to be hunting death, because you’re going to get what you come for.  

VAMPIE HUNTER 

How does it feel to be 3 feet away from a silver knife. 

(They both stand still for a second, glaring at each other waiting for the other to make a move. VAMPIRE HUNTER lunges first, grabs AURELIA and attempts to put her in a headlock to slit her throat. AURELIA drops the rose. Before VAMPIRE HUNTER gets the chance to kill her, we see a hand grab him and he falls to the floor. There is blood on his neck.) 

MARA 

(Grabs the flower) 

You dropped this, amore mio. 

(AURELIA takes the flower.) 

AURELIA 

Where were you? I thought you had forgotten our anniversary. 

MARA  

(gasps) How could I?! I was out getting this. 

(MARA shows AURELIA A golden ring with a jewel. She puts it on.) 

AURELIA 

Ohhh. But wait, there will be more coming. Kill one and three follow.  

MARA 

Finché morte non ci separi. Until death do us part, my love. That was the promise. 

AURELIA 

I would carve my own heart out before they could kill you. 

MARA 

They'll never kill us. 

(They hug and the camera pans up. Music fades out of this scene and into the other.) 

 

Scene 3 

(No dialogue. AURELIA and MARA are waltzing outside. You can see the night sky. There are glasses of VAMPIRE HUNTER’s blood.)

Music makes or breaks a Film

     I believe that the most important concept to a film's success is its film score. Without music to properly capture the suspense, excitement, and mood of the story, audiences would never resonate with the emotions of the film. For our film, we wanted the last 30 seconds to include a powerful music score. The music would take place after the two detectives wrestle on the ground and highlight the mystery of who shot who. As the camera pans up at the tress, I wanted a song that captures the peacefulness of the treetops while still being a little mysterious. As the camera pans up to reveal that Detective Reynolds survives, the screen will cut black and the credits will be shown as the music still plays. The music should be able to show the audiences shock and resolution with the plot.      Searching for music is harder than talking about it. AND ACTION!

     Day 2 of filming occurred on Wednesday, February 28. Zane, Jason, Zeyn, and I all met up at Zane's house to finish filming. First, we had to finish the car scenes before we moved to the scenes in the park. I stood outside while they drove past me to get the establishing/wide shot. Then I went inside the car to film the dialogue scenes between the two detectives. At one point, Zane had to hold the camera himself to film Jason because we needed a medium shot of just Jason, and I can't position myself to film that from the backseat. Once I was done with the car scenes we parked the car in the park.       I once again got out of the car and started filming from the ground while Zane parked the car for the shot and ran out. This shot where the detective chase starts took some coordination as the car has to park first, then detective Reynolds runs out, then detective Hoffman runs out.
