The Slings and Arrows of Outrageous Fortune (things that went wrong and what we had to Re-Shoot)
When filming something is bound to go wrong. Our group had a lot of those times where things went wrong. The first thing that went wrong was an overlooking of a national day. Introduced by Benjamin Frank in 1784. Enacted in 1918 everyone's favorite daylight savings time. Now if Elena or Mary had planned ahead and looked at a Calander, we would know that daylight savings was happening. However, both days we decided to meet at 6:30 pm because we believed the sky was going to be the same as the first day. However, on the second filming day Elena got to the house and the sun hadn’t even begun to set. This was a problem because when it finally started setting it was around 7’Oclock, we were able to get all the shots we needed, however we were rushing for time.
The wind is a natural thing of course. However, it created a lot of stress when trying to film because it messed with the sound quality of the speech. We fixed the problem by trying to speak louder even if we needed to yell. There was one scene where Mary had to walk a bit of ways away from Elena and Kai. When she was away from them, she had trouble speaking loud enough so it ended up taking a few tries before getting to speak loudly enough. This also was a part of the wind issues the combination of her being far away and the wind was not fun. The last setback happened when filming inside. Mary has three dogs and as much as we love them it was a bit challenging to film with all of them, so they had to go in their cages.
