Our Pitch Blog

Pitch 1: Locked up in a psychiatric hospital, a teenager undergoes therapy to uncover the betrayal, the motive, and the crime.

This was the first idea pitched by Elena. It would have to embody a suspenseful, creepy, and slasher movie type vibe. Pros are that we love scary stuff, but the cons are that bloody murder seems a little overdone for us since our music video. It would also have to take place in a school and have a lot of extras, which isn’t doable with what we have on hand and in terms of scheduling.

Pitch 2: Will 286 years of undying love be cut short for these two vampires by a vengeful vampire hunter or live to see another night?

This was the second pitch made by us collaboratively. We both love gothic things and wanted to create a love story like Morticia and Gomez Adams with the under tones of What We Do in the Shadows. We believe we would be able to execute a vampire romance with subtle gore because it would be the perfect combination. We both also own a lot of vampire-esc clothes that could be costumes and wouldn’t need a major setting (just a house and a nearby park/ grassy area). We also have a great idea for adding a song at the end that makes the perfect fade out.

Pitch 3: A time-traveler attempts to stop a war, worsening things in the process. Can he recover or will his forbidden love stop him?

This was the third idea we had Mary coming up with it. She took inspiration from a tv show that we both like. This idea would instruct us to create a futuristic utopia in which modern civilization would live. Our commercial gave us practice with creating this type of setting, that we could build upon ideas with. However a con to this would be that the ideas we have for it may to big for what we can physically do, mainly being the setting as neither of us have access to make changes to a setting to make it look like how we picture it.

Pitch 4: Inheriting her fathers estate, an unruly maiden is faced with challenges of high society, rebelling by her ambiguous nature, politics, and parties.

We created this idea because we both like period dramas about eccentric characters. The movie could have comedic undertones and could be a riveting piece that inspires young people like us. This was just an idea as we didn’t know what the opening scene was to be about. As we love this idea and period pieces sourcing the costuming my come as a challenge as they are extensive, costly, and would require a lot of sewing if we were to make them at home. This idea would showcase a different way of living and the challenges that face it when living in a different time. Finding an accurate setting in Florida would also place challenges as Florida does not have many historical sites.

We choseWill 286 years of undying love be cut short for these two vampires by a vengeful vampire hunter or live to see another night? Because it is doable and the one we have thought about and are excited about the most.
